Gary Sanchez Hits 17th Homer Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez went 2-for-3 on Tuesday with a home run and a walk in a 6-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The 28-year-old took Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Nola deep for a solo shot during the sixth inning. After an abysmal 2020, Sanchez has rebounded this season, posting 17 homers, 37 RBI and 37 runs scored with a .220/.336/.473 slash line over 73 games. The two-time All-Star also boasts a career-best 13.4% BB rate and has a .234 xBA to support his improved approach at the dish. While Sanchez isn't the elite option he used to be, he is still a top-10 fantasy backstop.
