Gary Sanchez Collects RBI Double
3 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Saturday's 4-2 defeat of the Marlins. Sanchez was stuck in a 3-for-21 stretch, having gone seven games without an RBI, though he changed that in the second inning, extending the Yankee lead with a ground-rule double. The slugging backstop has been far more prone to the strikeout lately, though he's still been hitting the ball just as hard during his slump. It could simply be a matter of Sanchez making a mechanical change, something he did earlier in the year, which resulted in a hot stretch. He is certainly worth holding onto, as he possesses upside few others do at the catcher position.
