Gary Sanchez Belts Two-Run Homer
4 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez belted his fifth home run of the season in Sunday's defeat at the hands of the Orioles. Sanchez absolutely hammered an Adam Plutko cutter in the first inning to extend the lead to 3-0. The blast traveled 435 feet at an exit velocity of 112.3 MPH. The slugger has been hitting the ball hard as of late and has four hits and four RBI in as many games, as his bat has really started to come back to life. Sanchez's expected batting average and slugging percentage more closely resemble his 2019 season than 2020, which offers hope that he can return to being one of the better backstops in fantasy baseball.
