Gary Jennings Learning The Slot, Boundary Positions
4 years agoMiami Dolphins second-year wide receiver Gary Jennings is learning the slot, where he had success at West Virginia, and the boundary receiver positions. If Jennings makes the team, he could be used to create mismatches on smaller, slower players. He was drafted by the Seahawks in the fourth round last year and claimed off waivers by the Dolphins in November. Jennings was injured in his first game with Miami. He's expected to compete with Allen Hurns and Isaiah Ford, among others, for the fifth and sixth receiver jobs in training camp. Rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has spent time with Jennings in his first two weeks in Miami. DeVante Parker, Preston Williams and Albert Wilson will be the team's top three wideouts.
