5 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Garrett Richards (elbow, shoulder) will throw at least one more bullpen session but could resume a rehab assignment after that, according to manager Andy Green. Richards has also been recovering from Tommy John surgery, but the Padres are optimistic that he will return this year. Left-hander Adrian Morejon (shoulder), the team's No. 6 prospect, is rehabbing a left shoulder impingement and could also return before season's end. Richards and Morejon could give the Friars even more pitching depth, which they need, in time for the last month of the season, but it won't make much of an impact for fantasy owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
