Garrett Gilbert Does Okay In Week 9
4 years agoDallas Cowboys quarterback Garrett Gilbert fared decently in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gilbert, serving as the fourth starting quarterback for the Cowboys in 2020, completed 21 of his 38 passes for 243 yards. He threw one touchdown and one interception, adding three runs for 28 yards on the ground. Gilbert was able to keep the Cowboys in the game against the undefeated Steelers and had a chance to win the game on the final play of the fourth quarter. He looked better than Andy Dalton or Ben DiNucci have all season and made use of his talented skill position players. He may pressure Dalton for the starting role, but the Cowboys will have their Week 10 bye week to figure things out.
