Garrett Crochet Receives Cortisone Shot, Out 2-3 Weeks
1 year agoChicago White Sox left-handed reliever Garrett Crochet (shoulder) received a cortisone shot in his left shoulder on Wednesday, and the team's lead doctor estimates a two- to three-week absence before Crochet is back to game action. The 24-year-old southpaw was put on the injured list for the second time this year with left-shoulder inflammation. Barring a setback, he should be able to rejoin Chicago's bullpen early in the second half of the season in late July. Crochet got a late start to the 2023 season after finishing up his rehab for Tommy John surgery. He's made 10 appearances out of the bullpen and has allowed five runs (four earned) on 10 hits while walking 11 and striking out nine in 10 innings.
