Garrett Cooper A Late Addition To Monday's Lineup
3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Miami Marlins outfielder Garrett Cooper (wrist) is set to start at designated hitter and bat third in Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Angels. Avisail Garcia, who had previously been slotted in as the team's designated hitter, has been scratched from the lineup. Cooper took a pitch in the wrist in Sunday's game and was forced to leave the contest. After the game, he was considered day-to-day with a good chance of missing Monday's game. It's reassuring to see him back in the lineup just a day later. The 31-year-old had three hits and one RBI in the team's season-opening series this past weekend.
