Freddy Peralta Roughed Up In First Inning
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers hurler Freddy Peralta was roughed up while taking the loss on Wednesday in Philadelphia. He allowed five runs on four hits and three walks across four full innings but the Phillies took it to him early and scored all five runs in the first inning on a Rhys Hoskins RBI single and a Didi Gregorius grand slam. Entering Wednesday's contest, Peralta was an undefeated 3-0 on the year across six appearances with a neat 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 3.00 FIP. Peralta saw that ERA jump over a run to 3.38 due to the one bad inning. The Milwaukee starter still managed to get eight strikeouts and bump his full-season total to 53. Moving forward, Peralta should continue to be an every-game fantasy option and he should continue his breakout 2021 season when he faces off against the Marlins in Miami during his next start.
