Freddy Peralta Continues Bad Streak
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers reliever Freddy Peralta gave up two runs on two hits and three walks in just 2/3 of an inning in Saturday's loss to the Cubs. Peralta was having a good stretch in his new bullpen role with an elite strikeout rate and there was even speculation that he may start splitting some save opportunities with Josh Hader. However, those theories seem to have been shot down as Peralta has given up at least one run in his last three appearances. Inconsistency has been Peralta's M.O. so far in his major league career which has kept him from being a starter and may cost him a roster spot if it continues. If Peralta is able to right the ship, he may be valuable in deep holds leagues, but it is probably not worth the hit to your ratios.
