The Baltimore Orioles placed shortstop Freddy Galvis (quadriceps) on the 10-day injured list on Sunday with a right quadriceps strain and recalled second baseman Domingo Leyba, outfielder Ryan McKenna and infielder Ramon Urias from Triple-A Norfolk. Right-hander Konner Wade and outfielder Stevie Wilkerson have been optioned to Norfolk. Galvis was injured on Saturday when he tried to beat out a bunt single in his first at-bat. The 31-year-old veteran infielder is hitting .249/.306/.414 with nine home runs and 26 RBI in 274 plate appearances this year, but he hasn't homered in June after slugging seven long balls in May. He's not a must-hold in deep mixed leagues. Urias, who is 14-for-57 (.246) with two homers for the O's this year, is starting at the 6 and hitting eighth on Sunday against Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Ross Stripling. Baltimore could use a combination of Urias, Leyba and Pat Valaika at short until Galvis returns.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
