Freddie Kitchens Won't Give Up Play-Calling Duties
5 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens said he's not considering giving up offensive play-calling duties after the team's Sunday night loss to the Rams in Week 3. The Browns are 1-2 and are averaging 16.3 points per game after three weeks. "It's me. It's my fault. Todd does a great job. Todd does a great job during the course of the week of making sure we stay on task. We stay organized and all that kind of stuff. But when things mess up it's going to be me," Kitchens said. It won't get any easier in Week 4 on the road against Baltimore's defense. The biggest thing is getting quarterback Baker Mayfield going. His completion percentage has dropped each week of the season and he has three touchdowns to five interceptions while taking 11 sacks in three weeks.
