Fred VanVleet Has Rough Shooting Night
4 years agoToronto Raptors guard Fred Vanvleet had a rough night shooting the ball in a win over Minnesota. VanVleet scored 12 points, though he shot just 4 of 20 from the field and 2-for-9 from beyond the arc, matching his worst performance of the season efficiency-wise. He also had five turnovers, matching his season-high, though he did contribute a well-rounded line with seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, two blocks, and two triples in 37 minutes. The veteran guard actually saw a slight boost in shots with OG Anunoby and Kyle Lowry sidelined, so it was just a forgettable night for him. He'll get a good bounce-back spot on Sunday against the 76ers, who have allowed the third-most points per game to shooting guards.
