2 years agoOn Monday, the Indianapolis Colts made the surprising move to bench quarterback Matt Ryan. The 37-year-old is reportedly dealing with an injury, but it doesn't sound like they pulled him because of that. The team named second-year quarterback Sam Ehlinger the starter for the remainder of the season. That news led many to believe head coach Frank Reich was desperate to win and wanted to make do-or-die move. Despite that, it doesn't sound like Reich is on the hot seat. The organization feels like they can open up the offense more with a young and mobile quarterback such as Ehlinger under center. It'll be interesting to see if the 3-3-1 Colts can get back on track. Possibly, Reich is on the hot seat if this experiment goes horribly wrong. In the meantime, Reich is expected to remain the Colts head coach until further notice.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
