Francisco Lindor Suffers Acute Ankle Sprain
6 years agoCleveland Indians shortstop Francisco Lindor (ankle, calf) suffered an acute ankle sprain while running the bases in a minor league game on Tuesday and received an MRI exam. His timetable for a return is unknown. Lindor, one of the best shortstops in the game and one of the top overall fantasy players, was hoping to return on or around April 4, but this new injury could push that timeline back. It's more bad news for Lindor's owners to start the 2019 season. Expect Eric Stamets to fill in at the 6 until Lindor is fully healthy. Another lower-body injury for Lindor could mean that he attempts fewer stolen bases, at least early in the year.
