Francisco Lindor Injures Finger On Bunt Attempt
6 months agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (finger) hurt his left index finger on his bunt attempt late in the loss in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Tuesday against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers. Lindor's finger was swollen and looked painful, but he said X-rays came back negative for any breaks. The 30-year-old left-handed hitter clubbed a two-run home run in the Game 1 loss and went 1-for-4 in the nightcap of the twin bill, so it's clearly not a serious injury he's dealing with. However, the Mets could certainly give him the day off in Wednesday's series finale, so fantasy managers need to be on the looking to see if Lindor is in the starting lineup. Lindor went 2-for-9 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored in the doubleheader on Tuesday to extend his current hitting streak to seven games.
