Fernando Tatis Jr. Resumes Baseball Activities
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (hamstring) played catch and took a few swings on Saturday as he returned to baseball activities for the first time since he strained his left hamstring last Sunday. However, there remains no timetable for the 20-year-old's return from the injured list. The top prospect was off to a hot start, slashing .300/.360/.550 with six home runs and had emerged as the team's leadoff hitter. Manny Machado has moved over to shortstop with Tatis out, and Ty France has seen more playing time at the hot corner. Keep Tatis stashed in all leagues, as he should be able to continue contributing when he returns to the Friars lineup.
