Fernando Tatis Jr. Homers, Steals Base Thursday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 2-for-5 with one homer, two RBI, one run scored and one stolen base during a 9-8 walk-off win against the Washington Nationals on Thursday. The first-time All-Star's 28th homer was a solo shot off of Nationals starting pitcher Max Scherzer during a seven-run fourth inning for the Padres. Tatis also stole his 20th bag of the season during the fourth inning, cementing a 20/20 season for the 22-year-old before the All-Star break. Tatis should eclipse the 30/30 mark and has an outside shot at joining the 40/40 club. With 28 homers, 60 RBI, 67 runs, 20 stolen bases and a .299/.379/.686 line, Tatis has rewarded fantasy managers by being arguably the best commodity in the game.
