3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went hitless in five plate appearances with a walk, run scored and two strikeouts Sunday against the Washington Nationals. The quiet afternoon dampers a marvelous series for the 22-year-old superstar, finishing 5-for-12 with six runs, four RBI and two steals. Tatis rolls on with his monster campaign, now slashing .291/.372/.649 with 28 homers, 22 stolen bags and 137 runs-plus-RBI over 328 plate appearances. He'll lead the Friars into Atlanta for a three-game set against the Braves starting Monday.
