Felix Hernandez Leaves Rehab Start With Fatigue
5 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Felix Hernandez (lat) left his rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma on Friday after just 2 1/3 innings due to fatigue. It was Hernandez's first minor league rehab start, so he'll likely need at least two more outings on the farm before he's a candidate to rejoin the rotation in Seattle. The 33-year-old has a ton of tread on his tires in his career, and the workload is starting to grind him down towards the end of his career. King Felix has dealt with injuries the last two years, a loss of velocity and less-than-stellar results, as seen in his 6.52 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 34 K's in 38 2/3 innings (eight starts) this year. Even when he returns to the M's, he won't be an attractive fantasy streamer in mixed leagues.
