Ezekiel Elliott Stumbles Through A Week 9 Loss
4 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott came into the Week 9 game expected to be limited, but he ended up seeing 20 touches. He was quite unremarkable though, running the ball 18 times for 51 yards and catching two passes on three targets for 18 more yards. Elliott received twice as many carries as his backup Tony Pollard, but Pollard was able to turn nine carries into 57 yards. Elliott hasn't been the same since Dak Prescott (ankle) was lost for the season, and he's somewhere in the RB2 ranks going forward, even with the unexpectedly solid performance from fourth-string quarterback Garrett Gilbert.
