Ezekiel Elliott Doesn't Find Running Room In Week 8
4 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott couldn't find much running room in a Week 8 loss to the Eagles. Elliott faced stacked boxes almost all night, ultimately running the ball 19 times for 63 scoreless yards. He was only targeted twice in the passing game, catching one ball for 10 yards. With rookie Ben DiNucci struggling at quarterback all night, the Eagles Defense stacked the box against the running game, slowing "Zeke" down fairly easily. With the loss of Dak Prescott (ankle) for the season, Elliott is unlikely to reach any of his pre-season projections. He'll still get enough volume to be worth starting in almost every format, but his elite upside is all but gone for 2020.
