5 months agoHendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson will start fifth in this week's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This is tied for the best starting position of his Cup career at the site. Larson has three top-10 finishes in six races while collecting a Driver Rating of 100 or higher four times. Through 20 races completed this year so far, Larson has three wins (tied for the most), eight top-5 finishes (tied for the most), and 754 laps led (the most of all drivers). In practice, Larson was among the top 10 fastest drivers in almost all eligible categories while ranking first in 15 consecutive lap averages.
