Expect A Strong Finish For Christian Yelich
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich got off to a slow start to the 2020 season, going just 1-for-27 in July. He slugged seven home runs in August, but still hit an uninspiring .244 over the month. However, his year-long peripheral stats are still extremely promising. He has a 50.5% hard-hit rate on the year, which is slightly higher than last year's 49.1% clip and his exit velocity is also up a shade, from 93.2 last year to 93.3 this year. Through September so far, Yelich is slashing a much more Yelich-like .292/.469/.458 with eight walks and 10 strikeouts. He should be in line to finish the season strong.
