Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin celebrated his 500th career goal and added three assists in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime victory against Buffalo. Sidney Crosby set him up early in the third period to give the Penguins a 4-3 lead. Malkin is only the eighth player born outside North America to net 500 regular-season goals in the NHL. He joined Crosby, Steven Stamkos, Auston Matthews, and Patrick Kane as the fifth active player to pick up multiple points in each of his team's first four road games of a season. The Russian star has racked up 11 points (two goals, nine assists) over the four-game stretch after going scoreless in Pittsburgh's season-opening 6-0 loss to the Rangers. This is starting to look like the beginning of a big bounce-back year for Malkin, who settled for 67 points (27 goals, 40 assists) in 82 games last term.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
