Evan Carter Slugs Fourth Home Run
2 years agoTexas Rangers top prospect Evan Carter is putting up big numbers with Double-A Frisco. Through 13 games, he carries a .380/.516/.640 slash line, including four home runs and three stolen bases. The 20-year-old is most lauded for his advanced approach at the plate, as evidenced by the 13 walks he has already drawn this season. His progressing power stroke, compounded by a 60-grade hit tool, 60-grade running, and impressive centerfield defense, is further encouragement that Carter will be an impact player at the major-league level. His call-up is not expected this season, but dynasty and keeper league managers should have Carter on their radar.
