Evan Carter Searches For Consistency At Double-A
1 year agoAfter a torrid April that saw Texas Rangers outfield prospect Evan Carter hit .343/.500/.543 through 18 games, the 20-year-old has yet to find the same consistency throughout the rest of the season. Carter began to move up prospect lists as he dominated the older competition but has cooled off in 60 games since the start of May. Over 279 plate appearances since May 2, the former second-round pick has slashed .267/.376/.432. While that is still respectable production, the drop-off has quieted the talk of a Big League debut this season. Overall, Carter has slashed .284/.407/.458 with 12 home runs and remains a solid dynasty asset. This slight dip in production could be a chance for fantasy dynasty managers to get him at a discount.
