1 year agoOutfielder Estevan Florial has been traded by the New York Yankees to the Cleveland Guardians for pitcher Cody Morris. Florial was once a top prospect for the Yankees and has been a conundrum for dynasty managers for a few years now. He is 26, however, and his star has faded. With that being said, he managed a .284/.380/.565 slash line in Triple-A last season. The Guardians are hoping a new scene will help Florial find some success in the majors, as he had a .209/.313/.296 slash line with the Yankees. Morris is 27, has made starts at the major league level, and come out of the bullpen. He can strike out batters at a good pace, a 37.8% rate in 2022. Morris should battle for a spot on the Yankee roster coming out of Spring Training after the team shipped three MLB-talent to the Padres for Juan Soto.--Justin Raffone - RotoBaller
