Esteury Ruiz Picks Up Three Hits In Second Rehab Game
1 year agoOakland Athletics outfielder Esteury Ruiz (shoulder) went 3-for-5 with a home run, stolen base, two RBI and a run scored in his second minor-league rehab game with Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday. Ruiz has just one home run in 334 at-bats with the A's this year, so the round-tripper was a rare sight for the 24-year-old speedster. He appears to be on his way to rejoining the A's this week after going on the injured list with a right-shoulder subluxation in early July. Ruiz needs to be rostered in all fantasy formats for his speed, even though he doesn't have much power to speak of and plays for the lowly A's. In 85 games in his first year in Oakland, he leads the American League with 43 stolen bases in 51 attempts.
