1 year agoOakland Athletics outfielder Esteury Ruiz has been dropped to ninth in the batting order for Saturday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. This is a rather interesting development. Ruiz had Friday off and is now batting ninth against Jose Berrios and the Blue Jays while veteran Tony Kemp, who's batting .180, is serving as the leadoff man for the second-consecutive game. Ruiz is batting .370 with a .895 OPS over his last seven contests so this doesn't really make sense. This is a situation worth monitoring for fantasy managers as the current stolen base leader will have fewer at-bats per game if this lineup sticks.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
