Erick Fedde Struggles In Tuesday's Loss
4 years agoWashington Nationals starter Erick Fedde allowed four runs on seven hits across five innings of work during Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. He struck out one batter while also walking one. Fedde is Stephen Strasburg's (hand) replacement in the rotation for the time being, but it is unclear whether or not he will stick in that role. He has a respectable 3.57 ERA through 22 2/3 innings in 2020, but his .268 BABIP and six strikeouts suggest that a regression to the mean may be coming soon. He is nothing more than a streaming option at this point.
