Eric Comrie Remains Between The Pipes Monday
1 year agoBuffalo Sabres goaltender Eric Comrie will make another start in Monday's matchup versus Montreal. The Sabres lost their regular starter Devon Levi (lower body) to injury last week, and Comrie has become the temporary No. 1, with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen backing him up. The 28-year-old had a triumphant season debut on Saturday, beating the Islanders 3-1 with 24 saves. A meeting against a rebuilding Canadiens team gives Comrie a great opportunity to make it two wins in two starts. Levi isn't expected to be available for Tuesday either when the Sabres finish a back-to-back set in Ottawa, so Luukkonen should also get some action this week.
