6 years agoA day after making his professional debut for the Philadelphia Phillies at Citi Field against the New York Mets, Enyel De Los Santos was optioned back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. It was a move that was widely expected, as the club announced a corresponding move would be made on Thursday. De Los Santos tossed 6 1/3 innings against the Mets on Tuesday, striking out six and allowing just three runs. He shouldn’t be expected back up any time soon, but should any injury transpire, the 22-year-old would seem likely to get the call back up.--RDelgado
