Ender Inciarte Designated For Assignment By Mets
2 years agoThe New York Mets designated outfielder Ender Inciarte for assignment on Thursday. The 31-year-old was activated by the Mets in late June and appeared in just 11 games for the Mets, going 1-for-8 at the plate. He's spent the bulk of the year playing at Triple-A. He began the year on a minor league contract with the New York Yankees before the Mets took a chance on him. The DFA was made to open up a roster spot for second baseman Jeff McNeil, who returned from the paternity list.
