Emmanuel Clase Picks Up 30th Save
4 months agoCleveland Guardians right-hander Emmanuel Clase tossed a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 5-4 win over the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. Clase did not allow any baserunners while needing just nine pitches to pick up the save. The All-Star closer has now converted 30 of his 33 save chances in what has been another dominant season. Overall, he has a 4-1 record, 0.78 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts over 46 1/3 innings of work in what is shaping up as his best season yet. Clase remains an elite fantasy closer in all formats.
