Emmanuel Clase Goes 2.1 Innings In Friday's Victory
2 years agoCleveland Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase was tasked with pitching the last 2.1 innings of Friday's 4-2 Division Series game two win against the New York Yankees. He was the winning pitcher and ended up throwing 33 pitches while recording two strikeouts and allowing one walk. Clase has cemented himself as one of the best relievers in baseball after pitching to a 1.36 ERA with 42 saves, 77 strikeouts, and a 0.73 WHIP across 72.2 IP in 2022. Because of the big workload Friday, he might be unavailable in Saturday's contest, so it might be a good idea to look elsewhere for relief help.
