Elvis Andrus Injured Monday
6 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus left the game early in the seventh inning on Monday as a precaution after he suffered a right hand contusion after being hit by a pitch in the first inning. Andrus was hitless in three plate appearances with two strikeouts before departing. He's hitting an impressive .354/.404/.561 on the season with three home runs, 12 runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases. While he's unlikely to hit 20 long balls like he did in 2017, Andrus remains quietly one of the better fantasy shortstops in a great hitting environment. He's unlikely to go on the injured list, but keep in mind that Andrus could miss a game or two.
