Eloy Jimenez Goes Deep, Drives In Three In Iowa
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI during a 9-8 victory over the New York Yankees on Thursday. The 24-year-old took Yankees starting pitcher Andrew Heaney deep during the third inning for a two-run shot and his sixth of the season. The South Sider has been a force since being activated off the injured list from a torn left pectoral on July 26, posting six homers, 17 RBI, seven runs, and a .306/.333/.755 line through only 49 at-bats. As long as Jimenez stays healthy, he should provide plenty of power and counting stats in a potent ChiSox lineup the rest of the way.
