Edwin Jackson Released by Blue Jays
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Edwin Jackson has been released by the organization on Saturday. The veteran pitcher struggled with the Jays and was designated for assignment on Tuesday. He passed through waivers unclaimed and the Jays opted to let him go rather than have him pitch in the minors. Jackson had an 11.12 ERA in eight games with the Jays. This was his 14th major league team, but it's unclear if he'll get another chance at a major league roster.
