Edwin Encarnacion Smacks Two Home Runs In Defeat

New York Yankees slugger Edwin Encarnacion had what appeared to be his first signature moment in pinstripes late Monday night during his club's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The 36-year-old drilled a solo home run in the fourth, but also drilled a huge, two-run blast in the eighth that broke a late deadlock. The Yankees appeared to be on their way to another big victory to extend their division lead, but the bullpen couldn't hold serve in an eventual loss. Encarnacion now has 27 home runs, second-most in the AL, with six of those coming in his 19 games since joining the Yankees.
