Edwin Encarnacion Progressing
5 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman/designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion (wrist) hit in the batting cage and did some fielding and throwing drills in New York on Tuesday. Manager Aaron Boone said that Encarnacion will see live pitching in the near future and should be an option to return to the team soon. EE has been out since early August but should be able to return in early September, barring any setbacks. He's not hitting for much average these days (.240), but he still has plenty of power (30 homers, 76 RBI) and remains useful in all fantasy leagues in the Yanks lineup. He's running out of time to help fantasy owners, however.
