6 years agoSeattle Mariners designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion was scratched from the lineup Tuesday night due to soreness in his left hand. The move was strictly precautionary, and he could be back in the lineup on Thursday after the off day on Wednesday. The veteran slugger has five hits in his first 21 at-bats (.238) with a solo homer and four runs scored. The 36-year-old can still provide plenty of power and RBI for fantasy owners but will likely give you a mediocre batting average.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
