Edwin Encarnacion Dealing With Back Tightness
5 years agoUpdating a previous report, Seattle Mariners designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion (back) is out of the starting lineup on Friday because he's dealing with some minor lower back tightness. Consider him day-to-day for now and check to make sure if he's back in the lineup on Saturday. The veteran power hitter is batting a mediocre .241 but has a .356 on-base percentage and .531 slugging percentage with 21 homers, 48 runs scored and 49 RBI. As long as he stays healthy, Encarnacion should be a solid source of power, runs and RBI in all fantasy leagues. Tim Beckham is serving as the designated hitter and is batting sixth on Friday against A's starter Chris Bassitt.
