Edward Cabrera Keeping Walks Down In Triple-A
1 year agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Edward Cabrera had a solid start for Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday. Cabrera went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out seven. He now has a 2.22 ERA and a 30:12 K:BB ratio over five outings (28 ⅓ IP) with Jacksonville after being sent down to work on his control. Of the 12 walks, five came in one outing, and he hasn't walked more than two in any other outing. The Marlins don't have a fifth starter right now, as Bryan Hoeing has been working a bulk relief role, so Cabrera could be called on to start at any point. He is a solid stash in standard formats.
