Edward Cabrera Dominant In Rehab Outing
2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Edward Cabrera (elbow) was terrific in his Triple-A rehab start for Jacksonville, tossing five innings of shutout baseball in his team's win. The right-hander allowed just one hit on the evening while striking out seven and walking no one in the 61-pitch effort. This marks the third rehab start for Cabrera who is working his way back from elbow tendinitis that shelved him in the middle of June. Through 15 2/3 big-league innings so far in 2022, Cabrera held his own with six earned runs allowed (3.45 ERA), a 1.21 WHIP, and 15 punchouts. He'll get at least one more start in the minors before returning to the Marlins, and could prove to be a valuable fantasy asset for the final two months if he doesn't suffer any setbacks.
