Eagles Surprise Everyone And Take Jalen Hurts
5 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles selected Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts with the No. 53 overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft on Friday. Hurts transferred from Alabama to Oklahoma when Tua Tagovailoa took over for the Crimson Tide, but he was able to excel for the Sooners as their starter. His arm strength needs some improvement, but Hurts is a winner under center and he can make plenty of noise with his legs when he scrambles. The fit is odd with the Eagles having so many other issues on offense and with Carson Wentz locked in as the starter, but Hurts can develop behind Wentz, and head coach Doug Pederson will surely find some ways to use Hurts' rushing ability. You can pass on Hurts in redraft leagues in 2020, but he'll be worth investing in if you play in a dynasty format.
