5 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles offered running back Jordan Howard and a swap of mid-round picks in exchange for Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, and the Chargers said no. The Bolts would've also had to eat salary in the swap. Gordon is set to miss at least Week 1 with no end in sight of his contract holdout. He has RB1 potential when he's on the field, so he should be stashed in all leagues while the two sides try to get closer on an extension. Until then, expect Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson to split the backfield work almost evenly, beginning in Week 1 against the Colts. Ekeler is the better fantasy bet and profiles as an RB3/flex in the season opener.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
