Dustin Pedroia To Visit With Doctor Thursday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia said he felt "something weird" in his knee during a swing in his at-bat on Wednesday and will stay in New York and visit with a doctor on Thursday. The 35-year-old missed basically all of last season with knee issues following surgery, so this doesn't sound like good news for the aging former All-Star. Pedroia was hitless in his only plate appearance and is hitting a weak .100/.143/.100 with two singles and an RBI in his 21 plate appearances. If he's forced to the injured list, Eduardo Nunez would see most of the starts at second base with Brock Holt (eye) currently sidelined.
