Dustin Johnson Misses Open Championship Cut
6 years agoThis year's Open Championship leaderboard had some of the sport's biggest names at the top, but the World No. 1 was not among them. Dustin Johnson could do no better than six-over par through his first two rounds, three shots outside the cut line. This is now his third missed cut in his last eight major championships since winning the 2016 U.S. Open. Given how he played in the years first two majors, a 10th at the Masters and a third at the U.S. Open, this was a surprising result. He can try to put the memories of the Open Championship behind him as he tees it up this week at the RBC Canadian Open, an event he finished eighth at a year ago. As is usually the case, he is one of the favorites to win.
