Dustin Byfuglien Picks Up Two Assists in Loss to Flames
6 years agoWinnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien racked up two assists on Wednesday, including one on the power play. Byfuglien now has 16 points in 18 games this season, with 10 of those points coming with the man-advantage. Only three defensemen currently have more power-play points than Byfuglien, and all of them have played in more games than Winnipeg's staunch blueliner. Byfuglien has had to build most of his fantasy value this year on his assists and power-play points as the goals do not seem to be coming for him. He is currently shooting a career-low 3.8 percent and has the eighth worst shooting percentage in the league for players that have recorded at least 50 shots this season. Even with a deflated goal total, Byfuglien retains top-end fantasy value, but it seems his eight goals last year was more a sign of things to come than just a down year.
